Something different to kick off the New Year - "An Auction Night"
As a change from a quiz Tony Dixon has arranged for Mark Hannam, Senior Valuer and Auctioneer of Fielding Auctioneers, Stourbridge to come along and recount tales and discoveries from his 37 years in the business. You may recognise Fieldings Auctioneers who have taken part in programmes like Antiques Road Show and Flog it.
Mark will also be running a valuation session so get in your attics and understair cupboards and bring along those items you often wondered about: Hornby trains, Dinky toys, Cindy Dolls, china or something unusual/curious you aren't sure about that could be a collectable or valuable. Please do not bring large items such as Ercol furniture, although Mark may be able to provide an opinion from a photograph.
The fish and chips will be delivered from Alvechurch chippy shortly after 8.00pm. Bring along your own choice of drinks, alcoholic or otherwise.
Please send your payment of £7 per person for the fish and chips by 9 January to Tony White, either by bank transfer to the usual AVCG account or by cheque:
